Learn about the evolution of the science related to cognitive function in individuals with cancer and the biological and behavioral factors that influence the problem. This session will discuss how neuropsychological, genomic, and neuroimaging approaches to the science inform our understanding of the problem and strategies for assessing and managing changes cognitive function in individuals with cancer.

After participating in this enduring material, the participant should be able to:
1. Cancer survivors experience significant changes in cognitive function that can vary with each patient.
2. The different approaches to examining the problem of changes in cognitive function include neuropsychological assessment, self-report, biomarkers, genomics, neuroimaging, and biostatistics.
3. Research findings indicate that clinical implications for problems of changes in cognitive function include medications, cognitive behavioral approaches, and physical activity. |
